Hello once again,
I'm doing my final packing and preparing for 24 hours of flights and my first day in Beijing. I'm not entirely sure what I need to do while in the airport, but I'm sure I'll figure that out as it comes. If worry were water, I'd be swimming in a moderately sized pool trying to relax. That's not a very good metaphor, but oh well.
In other news, I have been told that I can access most Chinese-banned sites by going through my university's server. So, I might still be able to access Facebook and what not.
My last American meal for a while is probably going to have been nachos from 7-Eleven, so I think that makes me one of the truer Americans. 'MERICUH!!!
Next stop is Los Angeles.
See you then,

A Fair Hello!
Hello friends and family and anyone else who happens to be viewing this,
This is, as you can well see, my first blog post. I plan to fill this blog with a new post daily for the duration of my stay in China. If I happen to skip a day, there will most likely be a reason and a double post on a day.
So, what happened today, you ask? Is that why you're here? To hear about me? Alright then. Today I made it to Denver. Mom drove here and Dad sat in the front seat. I mostly snoozed during the drive except when I had to busy myself with shopping and other cumbersome activities to prepare for my plane ride and the subsequent two months in China. I bought shoes and a camera. I'm sure you can deduce why I found a camera for myself. The shoes, in this case flip-flops, are for leisurely use and house slippers (two pairs). I finished my duties and need only to finish packing in the morning.
As today was fairly uneventful, I haven't much to comment on. So, for now at least, I bid you adieu.
Your Friendly Neighborhood Regular-Man,
Bran. 2013/05/20
P.S.
Tomorrow, a day of planes awaits. See you soon
